tips for getting pregnant naturally
Water, Water and More Water
When trying to conceive it is very important to drink lots of water; about 8-10 cups a day.
This helps to "clean out" your system and helps to increase fertile quality cervical fluid.
It's also a good habit to begin for pregnancy - when drinking lots of water is imperative.
Tips for consuming more water:
1. Carry a bottle of spring water with you at all times, or have a bottle on your desk at work so you can constantly refill your glass.
2. Add lemon or cucumber to your glass of water to add a bit of refreshing flavor.
3. Wake up and drink 2 glasses of water as a great way to start the day.
4. If you drink coffee, tea, or soda, keep in mind that these are diuretics, so you will need to make up for these drinks with extra water intake.

Tips to Prevent Constipation
What is it?
Constipation is one of the common discomforts of pregnancy. It is characterized by abdominal pain, difficult and infrequent
bowel movements and the passage of hard stools.
Why does it happen?
Worry, anxiety, low-level of exercise and a low-fiber diet are common causes.
Pregnant women you should also consider that
A. A high level of certain hormones during preg relaxes the muscles of the bowels and makes it hard for them to work efficiently.
B. The growing uterus presses on the bowel & disrupts normal function.
C. The iron in your vitamin supplementation may make stools dry and difficult to pass.
Tips To prevent and treat constipation:
1. Drink lots of fluids - water and juice softens the stool and keeps digestive waste passing through the bowel (prune juice especially)
10 - 12 cups per day of fluids is recommended.
2. Eat fiber-rich foods - fruit, veggies, whole grains, and legumes. 25-30 grams per day.
3. Limit sugary, processed foods - they are binding.
4. Exercise - inactivity fosters constipation. Walking, swimming or other moderate exercise helps mobilize the intestines. Start with 10 minutes a day...
5. Avoid straining and avoid laxatives as they may stimulate uterine contractions.
